August – Echinacea Cleopatra

Echinacea are the jewel of the garden in late summer and gone are the days when purple and white were the only choice. Now they come in an array of colours to suit any perennial border.

Cleopatra is named after a beautiful yellow butterfly from the Mediterranean and the sunshine colour of this variety conjures up images of summer days in that region.

Give it a sunny spot and dead head regularly and it will reward you with scented flowers from mid-summer until Autumn and the butterflies and bees will thank you too.
